Terms of Service
Last updated October 22, 2026 · Version 2026-10-22
These terms explain how FairlyKnown works and what we expect from you. We've written them in plain language. By creating an account or paying for a plan, you agree to them. Questions? Email reputationsheriff@gmail.com.
1. Who can use FairlyKnown
FairlyKnown is for managing your own online reputation, or that of someone you have legal authority to act for (for example, as a parent of a minor, a guardian, or under a power of attorney). Before checkout you confirm: “The person this profile is about is me, or I have legal authority to act on their behalf.” We record when you confirmed and which version of these terms you accepted. You must be at least 18.
2. What's strictly not allowed
You may not use FairlyKnown to defame, harass, impersonate, threaten, or target anyone — including by publishing false or misleading statements about another person, posing as someone you are not, or building a profile about someone without their authorization. You also may not use it for anything illegal, or to publish someone else's private information.
If you break this rule, we may remove your content and close your account immediately, with no refund. This applies even within the 30-day money-back period: the money-back guarantee does not apply to accounts closed for misuse.
3. You're responsible for accuracy
You confirm which search results are about you and which facts are true. We build your pages only from facts you approve, so please make sure everything you approve is accurate, current, and yours to share. Tell us if something is wrong and we'll help you fix it.
4. Content approval and our review
- Nothing is published without your approval.
- When you approve a page or article, it goes live right away. Our team also reviews every newly published item.
- If something breaks these terms or looks inaccurate or risky, we may take it down. When we do, we tell you why and what we suggest changing — in your account and by email — and you can edit and publish again.
5. What we can't promise
No one can honestly guarantee that a search result will be removed, or that a page will rank in a particular position. Search engines and other websites make their own decisions. We use honest, search-engine-compliant methods, and we'll always tell you plainly what is and isn't possible. We don't give legal advice; for legal questions, talk to an attorney.
6. Payments, cancelling and refunds
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly through our payment provider, Stripe. You can cancel any time from Billing in your account; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- 30-day money-back guarantee: ask within 30 days of signing up. Monthly plans get the setup fee and first month back. Annual plans and Recover Launch get a full refund. In every case, the domain registration cost and the payment processing fee are not refunded.
- The guarantee doesn't apply if we close your account for breaking section 2.
- To ask for a refund, email reputationsheriff@gmail.com.
7. Your account
Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity in your account. We may suspend accounts that put others at risk. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
8. Changes to these terms
If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and ask you to agree again before you continue using paid features.
